Now the parks departments operate them all summer, never charging for a ride. There are only 155 antique carousels in the Us Today. And only 19 left made by Alan Herschell. It's amazing that 6 of Hershell's Carousels are here in The Triple Cities Area in Broome County, NY. No other place has as many carousels as Broome County, NY. according to American Carousel Society. All six of the Triple Cities Carousels-- two in Binghamton, two in Endicott and one each in Johnson City and Endwell, NY.
