Great capture - I love the whirling motion and his expression!

Hey Daniel, I felt the same way about not thinking I had any motion pictures. I ended up with a lot to choose from, much to my amazement. I still like your dervish picture, and like I said, I actually thought of it when I was at this performance. I also like this one, but as I had no tripod, it surely has a lot of flaws with the background, but it's what I could manage under the circumstances. Helen

Don't worry, Helen: I was just joking. When I saw this picture here, I decided to enter different subjects; imagine my feelings if all the Dervish votes went to your picture and none to mine ;-)) BTW: I was, anyway, amazed to find some "motion" photos in my own albums, considering myself--after all--a photographer dedicated to static scenes... -- db.

Thank you for all the comments! Daniel, there is no reason we can't have more than one dervish in the challenge. Yours from so long ago inspired me to take this image1 Helen

Still love *your* Dervish a lot, Helen. You were too fast for me this time: I had planned to enter *my* Dervish here too... -- db.

An almost trance-like dance state - motion blur very well used here.

Wonderful movement, excellent image for the Challenge! I love the faces of the folks watching the dance.
