Portal to the Sky

by Helen Betts

Washington, D.C.

This sky bridge and the buildings it joins actually form a giant portal, although I preferred the image without the clutter of the distant building.

I love images where every time you look you see something new.

Thanks everyone for your comments! Frank, I thought about cropping to eliminate the tree but that would have eliminated too much of the actual portal, and it would have been too hard for PS-challenged me to clone it out, so I just left it (although it doesn't bother me). And yes, Inframan, the open window was there yesterday ;-). Helen

Helen, was that one black window there yesterday?
It's cool!

jp, I think I agree to disagree with you this time. :-) Never mind!

Splendid, Helen. Wow! I'm going to disagree with colleague Frank & say I prefer the tree for its little tongue-in-cheek asymmetry.

Great catch! The repeating reflection broken by the missing or open window make it perfect. (I would consider to crop the bottom part with the tree, to make it more abstract. Just my 0.02 €)
