Tequila Sunrise
by MFC

This is my "photographic impression" of a tequila sunrise,
the mixed drink made with tequila and orange juice.
Best viewed in the original version.
***
I had a lot of fun with a mirror, a half slice of orange, honey, a small frosted
tequila bottle, black and red poster boards, and two halogen desk lamps.
The poster boards were positioned above the mirror to get the
overall lighting, shadow, and color effects I was trying to achieve.

Awesome as always. Great colors and the spilt tequila almost looks like mercury.

As others have noted, this photo yelled "MFC" before I even saw your name below it. Wonderful shot. I love the look of the honey on the mirror. --Mike Ezell

Excellent image! What perfect colors for a sunset. I also like the idea of having a frosted bottle instead of transparent one. Thanks for sharing the honey idea. That's one to keep for another time.

I'm so grateful that you shared your methods with us - I'll have to store the "honey"
idea away for another day. :) A perfect shot Mike - the colors are so rich and the composition is excellent. -faye

Mike, you've GOT to stop doing this! How are we ever going to vote if you enter all these incredible images ? :-) IMO, this is one of the best images I've ever seen from you! Mark J

Just : WOW !!!! Could indeed have been without your signature, it is like an anonymous Rembrandt, you recognise the master anyway. Although some of the students (us here at stfchallenge) try to learn the style.

Many years ago I had a bad experience with a Tequila Sunrise. I won't go into detail, but I have avoided them ever since. Your picture has me looking at them in a completely different light. I really like this Tequila Sunrise. Great shot.
