Actually I started with almost exactly the crop you described but chucked it cuz I thought it looked too contrived. Your analysis about context is 100% on-target. Thanks for the comments.
I love everything you do, Moondoggy. Gidget. Seriously, though, I would have been tempted to crop out everything outside the wall, and end up with just some edgy design elements, but on second consideration, the things outside the main subjects of the composition give it CONTEXT. And I like the context, it says this is not the routine here, just an isolated incident. jrdu
