Milk bottles from the 1920's

Being new to this, I am stunned at how every imperfection in the glass is magnified in the photograph.

Each bottle was shot separately while sitting on top of a covered shoebox that was placed over a Lava Lamp base.

Very striking image, well lit and composed -- nicely done. Helen

One more thing.... you can once again change the position of your light source or slight change in position on the table for the bottles (ever so slight) and you might be able to avoid those overly bright illuminations at the bottom of the bottles. I wouldn't eliminate the reflections... I like them, just tone them down a tad. Anyway, you've done a great job! Keep up the good work. Mark J

Well my new friend... you ARE a fast lerner! Remember my comments about changing the position of the lights to bring out the colors in the bottles.... you've done EXACTLY just that. Well done, Mark J And welcome to your first challenge!

You are obviously a fast learner. I like this much better than the other and love the quality of colored light and the composition. Good one! Ann C

I like this image alot! I bet you could tone down the bright spots a little by stopping down the aperture a notch or two in order to make the colors really deep and rich. Of course, I've never tried this sort of a shot before, so I may not know what I'm talking about. . .
