Shims and Shadows
by

Some overlapping wooden shims that I arranged into a fan shape. The light was from a small lamp on my workbench.
The shims are 8 inches long and taper (in thickness) from one fourth inch down to one sixteenth inch.
Very handy to have around by the way :-)

Thanks Katherine, Dan, and Carmen for your comments. Half the fun of these challenges is getting comments! I appreciate you taking the time to do that.

Great composition! Love the play of light and shadows, with the faint shadow lines laying perpindicularly over the shims.

Very nice image - I love the diagonal, fan-shaped composition and all the lines and the shadows!
