Lovely tones in this, inframan. And I love the look of an old photo -- very well done.

Thanks, inframan. Again--beautifully done. Bev

Close. It's a Floribunda Hydrangea. The colors in the pic are pretty much its true colors at this time of year. Thank you for your comments.

Quite an unusual effect, inframan. I especially like the way the little dried flower petals catch and reflect the light. Is this an oakleaf hydrangea? Bev

inframan, I wasn't familiar with an albumen print; so I researched it and am fascinated with the effect. I like your photo too...and the interesting plant material you photographed. Neat idea...and effect. MFC

Thank you, Jerry, Katherine, Frank.
I recently got a pigment printer (hp b9180) & have become obsessed replicating older imaging techniques on natural rag paper. Frank, I was going to call this homage to Durer but thought that would be presumptuous so your analogy to copper-plate engraving is most welcome.

Fascinating image. The graphical look make it for me. It reminds me on a copper engraving or something like that ( I don not know anything about albumen). Cheers, Frank

Really nice image - I love the toning, lighting, the DOF, and textures!

Really nice treatment, JP. Good lighting as well. This could easily be at home in a frame.
