A classic capture!
I keep coming back to it, it's just totally unique.
The light & color are just as captivating as the subject & composition.

Wonderful capture - I'm glad they grew up, they look so fragile!

I'm amazed nothing got these little guys - I didn't do anything to keep them safe. I really did have to bend down to get the shot, the nest was so low to the ground. But I saw them fledge, so I know they made it all the way.

What a fantastic photo, Carmen! I've never seen birds that young. How did you manage to keep them safe from predators? Bev

Thanks for the link to the second photo, Carmen. It's amazing how much birds develop in such a short period of time. Love the gaping mouth in that one too...the baby thought your camera was a big worm :) MFC

Yes, some robins built their nest about 18 inches off the ground in the crabapple tree out back this year so it was very easy to keep an eye on them. Here they are just eight days later: http://www.pbase.com/corvidae/image/61042271

Carmen, that's about as "newborn" as it gets...all skin and some fuzz...and no use for eyes yet. Judging from the look of the egg, my guess would be baby robins? I really like the perspective here...very nice lighting and clear detail too. Great concept and nice photo, Carmen. MFC
