Thanks for the comments! I agree with what you both said. I had tried flipping the picture, but that didn't look right and in my other shots, I cut off part of the stem. I even went out in my backyard to look for "Beauty", but she has flown away (or dried up!) Karen
Nice shot - I love the orange color, the softness of the image, and the frame! I agree with David, though - it looks unbalanced. Maybe it would be better if the leaf was more to the right.

Ditto what I said about the other picture but this shot seems unbalanced to me. The leaf draws my attention right away but then it has me looking off the upper left corner into space. I think I'd maybe prefer a different placement of the leaf or maybe something else in the lower right to grab my attention there and balance things out. I do really like the color/sepia rendering that you did. I think it creates a wonderful color palette for this subject.
