4th: Mother Nature Does It Again

The color of fall leaves never ceases to amaze me -- I just have a hard time imagining how such beautiful things can occur on their own. I stole all these leaves from my neighbor's garden.

Beautiful colors and textures Helen! I had a similar idea earlier this week, and collected a bunch of leaves off the ground ( none of such color as this!)...but hadn't gotten around to it yet. These are much prettier. --Melanie

Thanks, everyone, for your comments. My neighbor says these are from her baby crape myrtle, although the leaves look different from my varieties. I wanted to try to shoot this again, but the leaves had started to deteriorate the next day, and I had taken the nicest ones, leaving not much to choose from.

Yes, nature is truly amazing; what beautiful colors in these leaves! Not sure but they look like they might be leaves from a Magnolia tree? Beautiful shot Helen and a great entry for this challenge.
