Crossing the double yellow line by Dee Golden Sony S70

Dry and wet, passable and impassable, smooth water, rough wind-blown water, above water and under water. A study in contrasts taken in Pescadero, California where the road was blocked due to flooding.

Thank you all for your comments. The concept of contrasts was very open ended allowing the photo to fit the challenge. In my description I noted the contrasts of wet and dry, above and under, smooth water and rippled water. I had a choice of using the white side line leading into the flooded waters or the double yellow markers and chose this one. I am surprised someone would consider hanging a large print for their office wall, but very pleased at the comment. Thanks again!

I love this shot... mainly for its balance, composition, color, and lighting. It would make a wonderful 16 x 20 on my office wall! I don't see as much contrast as you do, though.

Nice work...I agree with ZipperZ...the orange markers are like a runway leading us to your main subject.

Nice photo Dee. The orange markers draw my eyes to the rippling water - ZipperZ
