Thanks Inframan and Bottles. I think you are right about the name. These didn't have a sign. I knew they were a kind of hydrangea but not the propper name. The arboretum was really great with lovely flowers and all kinds of exotic birds flitting around. Fun. Ann

I've seen these in a blue version on Cape Cod called Lace-Cap Hydrangea.
