Frank, thanks for the explanation!! Your english is absolutely fine...no apology necessary just many thanks on my part. I tried your instructions and they worked great. I just need much more practice!! Thanks again ;-))

Denise, sorry but I am working with a non-Englich version of PS. Thus I cannot directly refer to the menu entries. With pushing I mean to bend the gradation curve. Point on the curve and drag it to the top a little. The preview should allow you to see the impact immediately. You also could try to enhance brightness or contrast, but this normally blows out the color. Please note that a big part of the instruction is on the selection of the reflection (the second layer is only introduced for this). Possibly it is easier to first adjust the reflection and then to select the relevant part. I guess there will be a hundert different ways to achieve the same. Keep on asking, I know that for these specific descriptions with photographic terminology my English is lacking the right words.

Thanks everyone!! I really enjoy taking pics of these water lilies.

Franky, thanks for all your work!!! Please explain "pushed", not sure what to do. I told you my PP skills were slim to none!

Due to time constraints this weekend, I am not going to change the original version for the challenge BUT I am going to attempt to do the PP you have suggested ASAP because this is the best way to increase my skills!! I have learned so much by participating in these Challenges, and still have a long way to go. Thanks again for all your help.

Beautiful image - I love the colors, lighting, and reflection! I really like Franky's processing in the demo folder, too.

Denise, you can find some instructions to modify this wonderful image in the demo folderhttp://upload.pbase.com/image/64609762 .
Still this is only my clumsy way, but it achieves the goal that I was aiming for. Let me know if anything is not really clear.

Oh my, what a beautiful flower; I love the different shades of blue and lavender! Really a wonderful shot Denise and just right for this challenge.

Gorsh...looks perfect to me. In fact it couldn't be perfecter in my book.

Thanks, MCsaba and Franky.....about the reflection...I had some pics where the reflection is lighter but there are hundreds of roots and runners in the water and it makes for a very distracting image. I would be very happy to see if I could enhance the reflection BUT would need your help. I am next to hopeless with PP when it comes to selection and layers!! I do, however, appreciate and take instruction well. If you have the time to give it a go, and tell me how, I will attempt to follow your instructions.

Very nice picture. The blue waterlily is beautiful and the diagonal comp works great. Lowe the reflection too. MCsaba

Wow! Just beautiful ... I also like the composition with the reflection very much. Could be interesting to see whether the reflection can be enhanced (just a thought - the image is great already).
