4th Place
The Past Revisited (IR)

by

Tioga Falls / Bridges to the Past, KY

I often find from time to time if I revisit some of the places that I've shot before I can get better results than from the first time. It's a decent way for me to measure how much I'm improving. (or not)

For this photo ... it is a place I've visited before to shoot with my Sony. I was pleased with the results but returned over a year later to have another go at a decent IR shot.

The railroad tracks you see span across two divides in the land and the bridges were constructed during the civil war era. Since then the bridges have been reinforced with steel and are still in operation though used infrequently.

The Sony photo can be found in my Infrared galleries at www.nvisiblephoto.com (PBase)

Cheers to all and happy shooting!

Very cool image - I love the composition and the weird color of the sky!

Wow Joey what a beautiful image! At first glance, I thought the tracks lead into the clouds :-) You're very good at IR photography and the subsequent post processing. This is one of the most interesting IR shots I've ever seen! I'm sure the tracks and bridges are very old so this is a great entry for the challenge. Very nice work, thanks for sharing this one!
