Please note I did move this image from the eligible to the exhibition gallery myself intentionally. Nothing to worry, just my personal preference not to be part of the voting there. Thanks a lot for all yoour comments.

Cheers, Frank

Oh, I love the selective color and composition. Very nice! Helen

I think it works perfectly the way it is.
Any "fixing up" would be a different concept, a different image, a different world.
Those who look to improve what others do should work on their own efforts first.

This is great! Beautiful toning, very effective perspective and fine detail. You've captured excellent detail on those stones and even appear to have used DoF towards the top - I can't quite tell due to the small size of the shot but it seems that way to me. I'm not usually a fan of selective desaturation but here it does work - possibly because the yellow is so close to white anyway. The strongest element of this is defiantely the pattern you've created with your camera angle - good choice to show it at a horizontal as well as vertical angle. The central positioning of the flowers also works well - due to the pattern I'm not even aware of where in the frame the flowers are.

Negatives? The quality isn't quite what I'd want - I think that's down to overexposure on some parts of the plants blowing out detail in the whites. The stone on the right is particularly bad as are the daisy petals. Looking at the EXIF you took this at 1pm - I'm going to plead with you to reshoot this at a different time of day (or even a cloudy day with less light intensity!) - do so and I'll have literally nothing to whinge about.

Great effort! Adam Bramley

The desaturated environment works great! Very good choice for the theme too. MCsaba

Wish I'd thought of that!
