Thank you both for the comments! A lot of people here find things to sell like this on the street (sometimes right in the street), and you often see women bringing a child along to "help" in the process (sometimes of begging). It's quite sad to see, but this woman seemed pretty successful in getting people sitting out along the waterfront to buy roses from her. Helen

Very colorful image and an illustration of a job very different from those I regularly see. Do roses symbolize 'love' in Turkey also?
