Not to see the wood for the trees*
by Franky2005

Germany

This is currently my favourite pano though I know from expirience that there is a split reaction. Either you find it just boring because there is not much of a center. Or (like me) you really enjoy the sunlight from the left, which changes the lightning of the trees so much across the whole picture. The conditions were perfect in the forest with a little of snow left on the ground.

Picture views best in original size!

Thanks Fremiet and thanks Mike for your comments. Indeed I am thinking about a large print (wider then 2 meter or 7 feet). But first I need to renovate the flat. Already I have spotted the wall where to place it, but it will take a few more month to get things right ... ;-)
Cheers,
Frank

I'm with you, Frank; it's perfect as it is and a central feature would have detracted from the effect. The light from the left is the final touch that gives this an extraordinary 3-dimensional quality overall. It would surely look magnificent as a large print, taking up most of one wall. - Mike

REALLY beautiful Franky. It truly gets me right there. It's wonderful to FEEL a photo's energy. Fremiet
