6th Place
The Beamer
(where rock meets sea)

by Jerry Curtis

We had a major snow and wind storm here two days ago, so today, the first sunny day since the storm,
I went to my very favourite place for taking wave burst pictures,
Flatrock, Newfoundland (no kidding)...
This shot was taken from a distance of over 1km (over half a mile) away,
and the burst is probably in excess of 15 meters (50 ft) in height.

Very dramatic capture, Jerry, and I also love the slant of the rocks, very interesting formation. Helen

Great shot, Jerry. Your capture of the wave at the moment of impact lends a feeling of wildness and isolation. Nice colors, too. Bev
