Stunning image, Daniel. I particularly love the composition, with the diagonal mountain intersecting th snow-capped peak. Helen

I’m glad you like it, Stéphane; thanks for commenting! I do not know how the image would look with the forest less in the shadow; but I do know that it needed quite some work with PS’s «Shadow/Highlight»-function to get a minimum of trees’ detail out of what at first sight just seemed to be a dark blob ;-) — db.

I am impressed by your composition. For me, it is a paradox; a minimalist picture but composed with such complex objects. I enjoy the way the picture is separated.
What would it look like if the forest was less in the shadow?

Thanks a lot for commenting on all three pictures of mine, Denise: You sure are a charming host! The clouds moved during the days I spent there continuously—as curtains would—in front of the mountains; a different image of that spectacle, taken three days later:http://www.pbase.com/image/55670016/original

Beautiful Daniel. I love the composition. How nice that the clouds moved away from the mountain...or were they coming in and you were just in time??
