i like this too and ill agree with a cropping of the lower dark part

Thanks Tessa for the comments, I might try cropping a little off the bottom, but as I was looking before taking the shot, I liked the visual activity around the darkness at the bottom, leading to the twig then back to the left to the tree. The photo is uncropped or touched (right out of the box), so maybe I'll try pulling up some of the detail in the bottom.

Bill, what beautiful light you captured. I like how it's in your background too with a nice depth of field. I think your composition is good too, however, it might flow a little smoother with a little more cropped off the bottom. It seems to me (and I'm no expert) that your focus cuts the photo in half.
