I thought the same thing - stage lighting! It reminded me of Gone with the Wind for some reason. Thanks for your comments,

that is some very eerie light on the fore tree, it almost looks like stage lighting?

very mysterious, I like the way the darkness takes over at the top of the frame. I'm not totally convinced by the tone though - a bit too red.
