Serenity is definitely the keyword here, though LED is a close second! Fremiet

Beautiful Christmas card and great message - I didn't know there were LED Christmas lights!

Due to a lot of new work commitments I hadn't planned to participate this time, though the theme is one of the best so far. It was a wake up call from as Fremiet calls him, our fearless leader that summoned me to action. Limited though it is.

I will remain Mark Hall for the time being. My apologies for misleading or offending anyone.

Markjay, LED lights uses less energy. More than 90% less energy. Which leads to less use of coal fired generators and so forth... They also last for many years whereas the old types are soon burnt out and useless and in the garbage. The message is: to have a merry Christmas, enjoy the decorations and save the environment. It's nothing profound, just a light hearted well intentioned greeting. BTW, this is the first time that you've found my choice of borders to be favourable. I'm honoured.

Thank you all for your kind comments.

Appropriate environmental message. We use the LED lights on our outdoor decorations. Only a matter of time 'till we use them inside, too.

This is a very simple image that conveys the message very well. Nicely done, Mark.

Great job, Mark! You captured the tree nicely and your iamge is very pleasing, including a good choice for border color to match up with your image. Now, pardon my dense brain today but, would you be kind enough to explain the "message" ? Do LED's eat at the ozone layer or something? Again, I'm a little slow today :-)

Very dreamy and serene indeed!

A serene image, and you've captured the lights beautifully. Helen

Mark, this is a cute take on the theme with your associated text. LEDs certainly consume far less energy and produce very little amounts of heat compared to filament based lighting. For a safe and efficient celebration of your holidays, use diodes :) Nice capture of this night scene with the hint of snow on the branches and around the base of the tree. I like how the ground fades to blackness going into the background. Nice capture and card, Mark, especially to the environmentally concious :) MFC
