John, I really like the colorful design pattern of this oriental ceiling. Amazing how you positioned the girls within the scene... I honestly thought it was some kind of huge archtectural piece that they positioned themselves on. A beautiful creation that's visually "happy"...a really unique and interesting New Year's greeting. MFC
Kuai le encourages you to be happy and chun jie is Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival, as they say here. The background is the ceiling of a wayside shelter in the Summer Palace gardens in Beijing. The photos of the girl in the three costumes were sent to me by a friend. I was just trying to find some traditional types of Chinese images to share with my STF friends. This is the first time I've ever used text in Photoshop, and I didn't find it easy. Thanks for the challenge.

A very interesting creation, John! How did you manage to have them posed perfectly? Were the poses planned? I keep scrolling up and down between commenting and looking to examine the so many intricate designs, colors and patterns. Very well conceived and executed. BTW, what does "Chun jie kuai le" mean? (Happy New Year?)
