"a time for peace"
by ~Stonefinger~

This card was created by utilizing two original photos. Each photo (A wreath and a clock) were taken into Corel Painter IX and "Mouse" painted with a camel hair cloning brush along with some additional subtle color and lighting effect changes. The photos were then taken into Photoshop CS for layering and merging. Text was done in Corel Photo Paint 11.

I like the soft merger of the images and the lack of hands on the clock, indicating anytime is a time for peace. Nicely done.

Nice work! The soft image and overlay image work very well together. Your choice for framing, color and text color and placement work nicely. Very creative, along with a message we all need to get a grasp of in this crazy world of ours!

Really nice idea - I love the composition, colors and hazy look!

Very nice Stonefinger. I've been wanting to upgrade to the newer version of Painter; but it's been so long since I used the version I do have (version 6), I feel I need to get back into it before I justify the upgrade. Maybe this will give me the incentive :). --Melanie

Really nice work Stonefinger. To me, the painting effects definitely enhance this card. I think more greeting cards use painted effects than photographs and this one turned out sooooo cool!

A beautiful image very much enhanced by your frame. Clever title as well. Great work! Helen

I'm not usually a fan of Photoshop work unless it's well executed. This work is well executed. I like the results and the image it conveys. Thanks for sharing the information on how it was done. This is a beautiful! Sonny

A beautiful card, ~stonefinger~, and, for me, has a nostalgic feel. The deckle edge is a nice touch, too. Bev

Clever to merge these two subjects to compliment your text, Stonefinger. I like the seasonal coloring and the moody feel to this shot. Neat how the wreath's bow emanates from the clock's center. Thanks for the added technique info in your caption too. A wonderful message effectively executed. MFC
