Ann,
I've enjoyed seeing your lovely view at different times of the year. I like the way you added a snow effect to the lettering!

Ah but it is in Washington State. Surprise! We do get snow occasionally, usually not in November... but this is actually looking down my neighbor's driveway from our deck. You can see many more samples of this view by looking at my view-a-day gallery on pbase. Ann

I love this scene, so nicely captured! Surely this couldn't be in Washington state?? Helen

Excellent winter scene capture, composition, and great choice for border color.
I'd use this as a holiday card in a NY Minue :-)

Nice capture Ann, perfect scene for a greeting card. I like the "snowy" shadows of the text too, how clever!

Thank you everybody. Shu, I used the eyedropper tool to pick up the red from the red thingy in front of the octagonal building.

Really neat Ann! I like the way you chose the brick red for the frame. It enhances the monochromatic color in the scene. shu

Wow, Ann! This reminds me of Winter Wonderland! Love the inclusion of the curvy tire tracks. I also like your chose of fonts - it really reinforced the image. Well done.

I agree with Jerry's thoughtful comments, Ann. Moody and well taken from an effective perspective. Love the single tracks in the snow. Good sense of home. Very nice greeting. (*) Ann, I don't see anything I'd change here. MFC

Lovely, moody scene, Ann. I thought it was a B&W when I first saw the thumb, but the couple of muted tones really add to the image. This reminds me of a first snowfall here in Newfoundland - damp, wet and cold... the kind of day you just want to sit inside by a fire with a cup of hot chocolate (or a good slug of rum and coke) and look out at. The single vehicle track adds both dynamic and a sense of loneliness somehow...
