I'm NOT talking about it
by David Barker

This bench is a favourite with all ages, and is beginning to show signs of wear and tear. I wanted to get some shots of people coming and going, (preferably wearing something bright, maybe red), with the movement blurred, and the farmer and sheep remaining impassive, but there were very few people around today.

Really nicely composed...I love that you got the camera down lower for this perspective. Wonderful just as it is...whimsical and quite charming (and I actually like it without having any *real* people in it...makes the characters seem more *alive* to be on their own, though it would be cool to see it done as you had hoped in order to compare the two different takes). Thanks for sharing this! What fun...~Nee :)

Thanks for the comments! This is one of two pieces that I have seen by the same artist - the other is a beekeeper, complete with bees as far as I remember (haven't seen it for ages).

The sheep/farmer sculpture has been at Rufford, about 12 miles from where I live, for at least 15 years - in fact it's one of the only original pieces installed at that time - some of my other favourites have been replaced now :-(

Passers-by are never there when you need 'em! Nice shot. Where is this sculpture?
