After some prodding, this young man finally took the plunge into the fountain.

To me, his expression shows both joy and kind of a surprise at how it "feels"

What a lovely expression! This is the kind of magic we all are trying to catch. I like your composition because the multiples water jet build a 3d perspective. This beautiful picture tells me that joys of summer are now over… for a long time :( -Stéphane
