1940. Etienne Achavanne, the first resistance fighter executed by the Nazis. This is the real wall, the real bullet holes. The composition is intended to memorialize his bravery in cutting the phone lines of the invading Wermacht. The wall is preserved in the War Memorial in Caen. Emotions? Overwhelming anger. Overwhelming sadness.

A terrible and powerfully evocative picture. Even if I know that it is a reconstitution, I cannot stop my mind thinking that is a terrible event and feeling something like vengeance into me. Knowing that the set is real, the scene seems more powerful. A photo-journalism kind of picture with your treatment touch = a very strong image to feed our thoughts. -Stéphane
