I've been agonizing over whether or not to put this in but with no time to do anything else, figured what the heck. I was out testing my (second) new H1 when the light and strong wind on this tree caught my eye. Taken at full (12x) zoom.

Thanks, Deb. Someone in my office was salivating over my first H1, so I talked myself into not liking it and gave it to him. But it turned out I missed carrying around a "small" camera (having sold my V1 as well) so I decided to get another H1. Cheaper than a new DSLR body or lens, and I seemed bent on getting something new photographically! Now somebody else in my office is waiting for me to get "tired" of this so he can move in on it, LOL. Helen

Beautiful capture, and a fitting title, to boot! Helen, the contrasts of leaves, sky, and branches are quite pleasing. Your second H1? Do I dare ask what happened to the first? ---Deb

Mke and Katherine, thank you for your comments. Yes, this was handheld with image stabilization on. The tree is enormously tall and quite a distance from where I was standing -- I'm really impressed with the zoom on this camera! Helen

Bright and clear, especially given the windy conditions and full zoom. I really like the color contrast against the blue sky. Well taken, Helen. MFC

Nice shot - it's really sharp for full zoom on a windy day! I like the green color against the blue sky also. Is this handheld, with image stabilization?
