Ann, these pileated woodpeckers are swift and hard to capture...neat how you caught this fellow "on the fly" with wings fully extended. I like how the central clarity of the bird contrasts well with the blur of the wings and the background. Nice catch. Now, if they could just quit putting so many large holes in my sassafras trees, I'd appreciate them all the more :) MFC
