Hummm
by Cheryl Meisel

I hope I did this right the pic keeps going in FRONT of others lol. Sorry I have forgot how hehe.
This shot was tough using a new camera I yet know nothing about. Conditions were dark out and I could not get the SS only up to 1/400th of a second and that was pressing it, so it was very dark. Actually I was amazed the wings came out at that speed. :) UNcropped

Great shot, Cheryl. The green of the hummingbird is beautiful - and you even got the catch-light in the eye! Nicely done - especially with a new camera. Bev

Cheryl, what a great shot of a truly beautiful bird! I love the green color of the bird and the blurred greenish background. Very nice indeed!

Excellent! What a great capture -- it looks like he froze in mid-air, waiting for you to take your picture. Wonderful shot.

Cheryl, what a beautiful close-up of a hummingbird. The green on green color is really pleasing to my eyes...nice also to catch the corner of that feeder as part of the composition. I especially like the elegant, functional form of this hummer with wings thrust forward and tail arching up from the body...and I'm really drawn to the curious gleam in the eye. Nice capture, Cheryl. Wow, Cheryl! The detail on this little dear is incredible. I was trying to capture a humming bird today and did not come anywhere near this high quality image. My lens cap is off to you!---Deb

Cheryl - this is beautiful - if you notice my pic later i shot at 1/1000 and still have motion blur - just gives you some idea of how fast the little things are moving! and dont worry, with the current set up all new pictures come to the front, giving everyone their moment in the sun, so to say - gk
