Wings of Infinity
Fremiet

Gambier, Ohio

Here's a question. What would happen if you were nuts enough to combine clouds, the nucleus of a big bang, some rays of light, a bluish sky with a few angels. You'd get the wings of infinity, naturally ;-).
You might be interested that the angels are at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, to the side of 'Middle Path' a walkway which bisects the campus. They are quite beautiful, each one playing an instrument.

I found then an irresistable lure for this challenge, and I might try some other renditions....I'll see

other sizes: small medium original auto

Interesting comment Helen. I've been intending to do a modification, tweaking this and that. For me this actually IS constantly changing. It's one of the strangest images I've wrought in that regard. The moment I resolve to do tis or that, it seems half done when I look at it next. Spooky! Thanks for the wonderful coments folks, you might see this new rendition soon. I was telling Mike that I had a record number of layers in this as I was going through it, close to 30 altogether. I'll post one of the "original" angels (not for voting) so you can see some of the starting material I used from Kenyon. John

Is this image constantly changing? Everytime I look at it I see something different :-). I especially like the figures in the light beams. Nice work, as always. Helen

Oh, how I wish I had your PS skills and imagination! Fremiet, this is quite a lovely creation. I like how you've "captured" the movement of the angels.---Deb

I'm slowly learning how to take half-decent pictures, but creating art like this is way outta my league. Congrats on creating another imaginative and beautiful piece, John.

Fremiet, I really like your cosmic & heavenly composition...neat how the light rays reflect off the bodies of the angels. Good sense of motion with the blurring. It all revolves around that central, red "eye"...a warm and creative force that beckons forth all that angelic music-making. Nice translucency to the bodies...spiritual, vaporous, cloud-like. I can hear the melody now taking flight over the cosmos...heralding this dawn, this universal beginning. Creative and well done...nice use of those Kenyon angels :) MFC

Beautifully composed, Fremiet. Your rays give a sense of flying/floating through space and being drawn ever outward. (and for me, a feeling of vertigo; I wonder if your image has that effect on others) Bev
