Abundance
by odigi

Corn in the front, raisin grapes in the back,
and probably peach trees on the right. If you look
closely, you can kind of see the Sierra Mountains through
the infamous San Joaquin Valley smog.

Sidenote: The SJV is home to the Dancing Raisins ;-)

Thanks everyone ;-)

Jerry, smog can work to your advantage at times, but mostly it's just frustrating. When I was a kid, the air was crystal clear and I could see those mountains so well, at times I thought I could reach out and touch them. Soooo more than anything, I get frustrated. As for the color, I didn't add any, but you can probably tell I boosted the saturation on the photo, which brought out a bit of it for the sky.

Lovely color and light, and perfect for the theme. Helen

Nancy, I like the simple composition here and the division between land and sky...nice color and lighting. The rows of corn really catch my eye. Good idea. MFC

I like repeating patterns like this. Nicely done! I was thinking, though... in looking at Katherine's comment about the sky.... how ironic that something as undesirable as smog could make for a pretty sky....

Beautiful! I love the lighting and sky colors, and the really straighht lines of the corn.
