This is the scene on this street for five consecutive nights in late July/early August every year. This street is wall-to-wall bars for about half a mile, and, for the George Street Festival, the street is closed to minors and the bars throw open their doors with no cover charge (just a charge to get onto the street). There are bands playing and partying, with drinking in the streets, from about 7PM to 3AM every night.
