Thanks netgarden...those storms do come fast and hard, don't they! I was just cruising back from the beach, and took the coastal road home - decided I had to pull over and capture the storm.

Penelope - thank you...I am looking forward to trying an eligible shot too, now that I think I am learning the challenge meaning. BTW - I notice some compression artifacting and slight noise in the posted shot here that are definately not in the original...is there compression on this site? I've blown up the 800x600 copy on my computer here, and it is free of that dark noise in the rainbands. I don't really mind...just wanted to point out that it isn't on my copy! ;)

Great Shot Justin, All of the elements are there, the glowering sky, the imminent arrival of the storm, contrast of the figures hurrying against the sand all work together in harmony to add to the impact.

I was just thinking, thats gotta be Florida, Justin! I remember them moving in quite quickly, and they are pretty darn severe! I love the smell of the rain after tho. Nice capture and I like your decisive portrayal, very much!
