The composition was totally spontaneous. This was one of the very first photos I took with my 707. I tried to apply different degree of sharpening after resizing, but eventually left it as is. For the mood... This was a sad story, the owner was forced by the city to abandon the ship, and it was destroyed despite local support.
f707, I read your post in the "info" thread... this was a neat old ferry/restaurant. I like your composition and the "dysfunctional" lighting on the sign itself...adds to the mood of this image. MFC
