Jerry, this is beautiful shot. I, too, am still working on trying to get a capture like this one. It is wonderful! Great song title choice. BTW, senility can be both a blessing and a curse.---Deb

Sheesh... it slipped my mind that I posted this shot in the Eligible Gallery of the last challenge. My Alzheimer's is worse than I thought ;-) I do have a few more pictures, you know *grin*

Anyway, the secret to getting that blue (and it *is* natural), is to get the shot one night before the full moon. The missing bit is hardly noticable at that point and, where the moonrise and sunset almost coincide, there's still light in the sky (at at this latitude in March that's the case). Ten minutes after I took this one, the sky had gone too dark to get the same brilliant color. On the night of the full moon, the color had gone already before the moon rose.

Jerry that really is a wonderful photo. I still struggle with getting that gorgeous blue! Great capture and song. I swear, this is fun, I find myself humming along with the songs, ;~)
