* My cup runneth over
by

I've been thinking of this phrase ever since the challenge began - I think I finally found a way to express it :). Nick of time too!

Nicely done, Gaurav! I like the minimalism of it. Helen

lol - thanks for your comments mike and Irish. I was wicked stressed out with this shot. a paucity of creativity and time left me to start work on this a little after 8 PM ET today. I first worked with water and then milk. Getting the liquid meniscus just right and overlapping the lip was more laborious than i had imagined. I was adding the liquid drop by drop with an eyedropper but one extra drop and the liquid drains along the side of the glass and takes out much more than the extra drop leaving you to start all over. Managed to get this after a few tries. Glad i managed to get it in just under the wire!

Gaurav, this is really a good idea for the theme. I like your choice of milky-white liquid...the "running over" concept enhanced visually by the stark whiteness of the background. The clear, blue glass adds a pleasing touch of color to the scene. I like the simple, angled composition of the glass and the shadowcast that gives it all more depth. Creative thinking...and a nice shot. MFC
