The Merge

The Mighty Amazon ( Brown River ) and the Rio Negre ( Black River ) merge here in the rain forest. ( Manaus Brazil ) This shot was taken at the weekend from the back of the Boat.

What a location! thanks for sharing this~ the black river meeting the brown..This is a real natural blending of the mighty fluids ..I know a little about this place.Is it near Sao Grabial? Awesome in its reality.~Irish

Pete, I really like how the waters of the "brown" and "black" rivers merge here...what a wonderful place to be right now, in the rain forests of Brazil. The way you composed this with the flag on the boat really helps place us there. Thanks for sharing a part of your trip! Nice photo. MFC
