Penelope, A comic twist in this super perspective of the shore and its clan of inhabitants. The natural scatter of the birds in this almost stark composition gives the feeling of the world being their oyster...An Even clear coloring adds to the feeling of a collective unity ..even though each bird is doing his own thing...Very interesting that each bird is gazing off in his own direction...Good eye for this..and A beautiful order in a very natural composition. Penelope, I like how the waterbirds "dot" the stark scene...well composed with the water along the bottom third of the frame. I like how the movement & reflectivity of the "liquid state" contrasts well with the stillness & frosted appearance of the "solid state". The color tones & lighting really add to the feeling of coldness. I think I'd stay out of the water too :) Nice shot & well seen, Penelope. MFC
