so unusual -- excellent job, Bev. The DOF does it for me, as well as the soft colors & cool feel. I have never seen this before.

Pure, fairytale magic here.

Bev, as the others have said this flower has a very unusal and pleasing colour scheme. Very nicely captured!

Thank you for the response, Bev. Now I'm even MORE impressed than I was the first viewing. I've never seen flowers of any kind, take on this kind of natural pastel color and feel... it's magnificent! Markjay

Thanks to all of you for your comments. There was no enhancement or shifting of the color from the original photo. However, the light was the magic - I took many shots of this plant at various times over a 3-4 hour time span - some were drab and others had the highlights blown, but in this particular moment the stalk had an almost translucent quality and the camera captured what I saw. What gorgeous, delicate colors! Light is great as well, as is the composition with the succulent in the background. Beautiful image! Helen

Beautiful colors, Bev! I'm really curious... did you shift the colors from it's original seen colors or, are these naturally this color? I readily admit to never having seen these before, quite intrigueing. markjay

A nice composition where the main subject is the beautiful colors. Even the OOF background contribute to the equilibrium. Great!

Aptly named. This is gorgeous -- the softness of the color gives it a very misty appearance. Lovely shot.

Bev, these flowers are beautiful! And the more I look at each bloom with its intricate details the more I appreciate its beauty. The blurred plant in the background complements the flowers' pastel colors. Neat shot!
