Hi Mark. Thanks again for the ideas for this style of picture.
I tried turning the glasses side ways, but then the DOF got me.
I couldn't keep the print in the lens in focus unless going with a
smaller aperture, then more of words outside the lens are in focus.
I think for this challenge I going to go with this one.
I did try something a little different but similar in the eligible gallery.
Thanks again for your thoughts and ideas.
dave.

Ok Dave, I'm back (*) :-)
I thought about your image and a few similar ones I've done with a book and glasses a few years ago. Went back to look at mine and here's what I find.......
I placed the arms of the frame halfway "closed" or should I say halfway folded? By doing this you solidify the DOF so not only the rear text is blurred, so are the frame ends.
You can try a different composition now (with more room to work since the frame rails are folded partly) and turn your glasses on an angle so the frame stretches / is rotated aligned with the page corners. Then, find your effective focus distance. Hope you don't mind my sharing ideas? Again, nice image. Markjay

Thanks guys, for commenting. I wish I could say that this was an original idea, but I have seen pics similar to this. Mark, I've tried to think of a better way to take this pic, and I just can't figure how to get the print in the lens in focus and still blur the rest of the pic.(without blurring in PS) Thanks for your thoughts.

I like the idea and you did a good job here but,
(*) IMHO this could be improved with a more pleasing
composition. Markjay
