Aurora Bearealis

I've long wondered how to capture this bear which I bought in Sweden in 2001. I sat it on a white illuminated panel with a strong snoot coming in from back front. Got some pattern from a blue egg and layer blended (soft light) with border overlap. Did a 2 pix white stroke on the bear and shadowed the enlarged canvas. Kinda satisfying. Took a lot of messing around.

'Bearealis'... groan... koff... choke! :-)

Beautiful study, John. I particularly like the balance of what's inside and outside the key line. I've always been drawn to this type of crystalware, and it does beg to be set off this way. Great result! - Mike

P.S. obligatory egg influence duly noted ;-)
