Thanks Mike for the comments. Heheh, it's actually called "GO", an ancient Chinese game where you try to capture the opponent's pieces by surrounding it. Each person takes turn laying down a piece one at a time. I just wanted to illustrate its simple concept and elegance at the beginning which then quickly develops into the most complex game there is. That's its appeal.
