I Had a Most Pleasing View
by mlynn

"Thursday April 25th 1805...I had a most pleasing view of the country,
particularly of the wide and fertile vallies formed by the missouri and yellowstone rivers
...the whol face of the country was covered with herds of Buffaloe, Elk & Antelopes;
deer are also abundant, but keep themselves more concealed in the woodland."
Meriwether Lewis, The Journals of Lewis and Clark

An exquisite landscape, Melanie, filled with grandeur. The Lewis quotation makes this a very poignant piece. -Michael

Great picture, I love the single buffalo in all that space
