David, on a second and more detailed view I think that the contrast between the sharpness of the noise and out of focus of the rest of the face is what gives the punch to the image. Forget about (*) comment it was too late for delete it. I apologize. BTW I also forget to mention how cute the baby is and the beautiful lighting. Jesus

I like the angle, the crop and the narrow DOF, overall a remarkable image. (*) IMHO the nose it's too sharp. I feel it would match better the subject a softer treatment of the image. These is just my opinion and very particular preference that most likely nobody else shares. Jesus
