Thank you Hassan, Stephane & Mike for your comments. My initial attempt was with the handwritten lefty quote but I thought the entire text was too long to be legible & the overall photo resulted in lesser details of the hand. So while I was thinking of a shorter text to write, I think I got lost somewhere trying to figure out how to get a good focus of the hand that I totally forgot to write something . I love your suggestions and if I have time I'll try them. Thank you so much for making my 1st challenge entry another great learning experience.

The photography is excellent, but (*) I agree with Stéphane about adding some handwriting to lend reality to this. (It might work well with selective colour left in the ink.) The other thing I'd do is have the pocket clip facing to the right, away from the arm. I think it would give more of the feeling of a work (the writing) in progress. But, just to be contrary, I don't mind the pen being cropped, since the hand is the main subject on which you want the viewer to concentrate. It actually might be better cropped either more severely, or else not at all as per Stéphane's suggestion. - Mike

It is a delight for the eyes. (*) To make the pose less “artificial”, I would add some handwritten text under the pen. Moreover, I would have appreciated if the pen wasn’t cut. Great picture ladyspink! -Stéphane Bouchard
