Minimal piece in sepia with a leading title. The dof works well with the nail head being the sharpest point of reference. Leads you right to the spider web. *: My only suggestion would be to make the web more visible. Nice idea and shot - Simon Bennett.

Phil, I see the nail as the anchor point too...it's just the anchor for something we don't normally consider. I like the "desolate/isolated" feeling of this composition in sepia. Where did that spider go? MFC

Thanks for the feedback. The actual idea here is that the nail is the "Anchor Point" for the web (I just wish the web string was more prominent). It is showing a juxtaposition of a piece of metal formed by man being used for other purposes.

I like your image, Phil. The web may even further draw the eye to your focal point... the nail head :-) I would like to suggest (if you can ever find this nail again? lol) that you try a shot from straight on! Might be cool seeing the nail in sharp focus, with your background blurred from that point of view? One of our STF members "nailed" a challenge with an image like yours (I believe it was Deb or Bev ?) Nice shot. Markjay

Nice Work Phil. Its a sepia shot that actually works. Shame about the web. It does ditract IMHO. You can always clone it though.
