Baby Bronzes

Somehow, this image got deleted and I lost a couple of comments. Reposted 8/3/04.

One of the qualities of metal is durability and humans have always desired to create objects that survive beyond the creator's lifespan.

When I was a child it was popular to have a pair of baby shoes dipped in bronze as a keepsake. These are mine from about 45 years ago.

What memories these shoes bring back. I think almost every family in my old neighborhood had a pair of these in their living room when I was growing up. The color here is sooooo rich and wonderful. Well done. --Nancy
